AUTHOR IN THE NEWS - NIC RIXON

Nic Rixon has just launched his long awaited book "Design Your Life". Published by Filament Books, Nic demonstrates the depth of his understanding of why most of us struggle with the whole concept of goal setting. To find the answer, Nic delves deeper and provides tools to help the reader to discover what it is that they really want in the first place.  But who is Nic Rixon?

As a successful entrepreneur with a group of companies in manufacturing, property, training and commercial design, Nic Rixon knows at first hand all about the problems of being is business and managing people. He faces them everyday. This is why, as a trainer and platform presenter, his philosophies are based on practical experience, and of finding solutions that work. This coupled, with his energy and enthusiasm, explains why he is becoming one of the most sough after speakers in the UK.

Nic’s passion is in personal development and training. In searching for the answers to help him succeed in his own business, he has picked the brains of some of the most talented people on the planet.

His introduction to the world of self improvement was with the Dale Carnegie organisation where he went on to become one of their leading trainers in the UK for ten years. He went on to study under Anthony Robbins in Fiji, Hawaii and San Diego and walked on hot coals in the process, completing the Mastery Programme in 96 and the Mastery Trainer programme in 97.

He is also a NLP Master practitioner and a Fellow of the Coaching Academy.  In the last four years, as one of their originating trainers, he has inspired over 3000 Life Coaches both in the UK and overseas.

He has also pioneered the introduction of personal development principals to schools, working with problem children. Arriving at a school on his gleaming Harley, stepping out of his one piece leather jump suit and walking into the classroom, does tend to get attention.

With all of this experience, he has developed a number of unique insights  of his own, including some powerful reasons why traditional goal setting processes seem fail for so many people. Having been asked by countless people at his seminars for his notes on the subject, he has recently used this as the theme for his new book “Design your life”.

As a platform speaker, Nic has travelled the globe addressing groups as far away as Australia. He was invited by Tony Buzan to speak at the 2002 World Memory Championships and is highly sought after by large companies like British Aerospace and organisations like the Direct Selling Association. In 2003 Nic became one of the founding partners of Shirlaws Business Coaching in the UK.
